Spicy Jalapeno Spread

4 cups (16 oz) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 medium white onion, finely chopped
½ cup chopped green onions
6 jalapeno peppers, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. garlic salt
Crackers to serve


In a large bowl, combine cheese, mayonnaise, white onion, green onions, peppers, garlic and garlic salt; stir until well blended. Refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to blend before serving. Serve with crackers.


Yield: about 4-1/2 cups spread.
